Aisin Waterpump Fails Review - V6 Honda Acura J Series - Bundys Garage

Aisin Waterpump for a Honda J Series V6 engne failed before being in the vehicle for 1,000 miles. No part manufacturer is immune to failure.

This was taken off a 2007 Honda Odyssey with a V6 engine. Overheating was intermittent, like a bad radiator. Well the Honda dealership thought it was a blown head gasket. Well they brought it to Bundys Garage and we got him back on the road.

Aisin takes pride in being the number one water pump supplier to Japanese automobile manufactures. Utilizing the experience and knowledge gained throughout the years of co-operation directly with automotive manufacturers, Aisin is able to employ a technological advantage in manufacturing and supplying of the best in quality and the most durable of products. With this momentum, Aisin is increasing the development, manufacturing and supply for European and American automobile manufacturers. From aircraft engine parts to a comprehensive range of automotive parts and systems, and home appliances. AISIN Seiki's history begins in 1943 with the founding of Tokai Hikoki Co., Ltd., and aircraft parts manufacturer. With changes to the Japanese market following World War II, the company switched from aircraft parts to automotive parts and sewing machines, and the company’s name was changed accordingly in 1945 to Aichi Kogyo Co., Ltd. Subsequnetly, the company expanded its business products in the automotive parts and systems, and home appliance fields.

Aiming to further strengthen its business structure and give increased impetus to its activities, the company merged with Shinkawa Kogyo Co., Ltd., in 1965 to form a new company: AISIN Seiki Co., Ltd. By adding clutch and body related products to its armory of drivetrain, chassis and brake products, AISIN Seiki became on of Japan’s leading manufacturers of a complete range of automotive parts.

In 1970 AISIN Seiki entered the United States and AISIN U.S.A., Inc. was established.

Aisin constructed a factory in the United States of America in 1986, with production beginning in 1989. This factory, in Seymour, Indiana has since been expanded and supplies components for Honda, General Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan and Toyota. The company also operates in Marion, Illinois.

The new proving ground, Aisin’s first in North America, and third worldwide, is research and development based supporting test surfaces of various lengths and lane widths used to develop and evaluate a variety of Aisin products and applications, such as transmissions, brakes, drivetrains, and chassis and body systems and components.
